Joan H. (Drinkwater) Kovar of Medfield passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick at the age of 67.

She is survived by her loving husband John L. Kovar, Jr. of Medfield. Born on November 12, 1946, the daughter of the late Edna (Kroog) Drinkwater and John Drinkwater, she was a graduate of Needham High School, class of 1964 and then the Chandler School for Women in Boston.

For many years she was an executive secretary at Fidelity Management in Boston. Joan and her husband enjoyed many happy days with family and friends at her family’s home on Plum Island, Massachusetts.

She is also survived by her brother John Russell Drinkwater & his wife Edith of New Hampshire & Alan Drinkwater & his wife Nancy of New York. She also leaves a nephew Scott Drinkwater, a niece Kristen Douglas, both of New York & nieces Tracy Drinkwater & Heather Liptow, both of Wisconsin & their families.

A Funeral Service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Sunday at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM-Noon. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Burial is private.
